While “weekends” culturally are to be a time of “rest” of “recuperation” and “fun” this weekend offered none of these components and I’m finding that I’m starting the week on EMPTY.
This is T.E.R.R.I.F.Y.I.N.G.! I don’t know about you, but looking ahead at some week(s) I know I’m going to need MORE. This is certainly one of those weeks.
Hearth Check: What do you need to be dynamic with RIGHT NOW?
Chasing Faith: The possibilities for this week which seem bleak, are exciting to me! I have found that when I’m praying about weeks like this I am AMAZED. Oddly, I find that I have EXTRA time and energy! Sounds bizarre, I know. The great thing about weeks like this is to know that when I’m empty, I’m actually at my fullest point. Just like Paul writes, in II Corinthians 2: 9 “… “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” More of God, less of me. Be open and let God step in and make your week just right- which means it won’t look the way your planning it, and it will be even better!
