Static or Dynamic- The Redemption Behind Evolution

An ongoing conversation about static and dynamic people has been taking place between my husband and I for years now. Actually, it’s a phrase we’ll use to “check” each other with (“are you being static?”).  In other words, “are you being stubborn/disengaged/stuck in a rut OR open to possibilities and growth”?  We both agreed a while ago that we want to be “dynamic” people; flexible and pliable as experiences meet daily life

Though I DO believe that not e.v.e.r.y. moment of e.v.e.r.y. day needs to be spent searching and speculating about deeper meaning in an effort to be “dynamic”,  I do believe that things not growing DIE. While I’m a pure Creationist (if you’re snagged by that, get off your intellectual high horse) the concept of evolution is a perfect example: Organisms either evolve or cease to be.  Ultimately, disengaging into static oblivion leads to personal extinction while nudging forward and evolving leads to infinite possibilites (though some may be difficult and odd looking transitional stages).

I’m not sure about you, but I’m curious who this dynamic person will  be in 5-10-20 years!

Heart Check: What is keeping you from leading a dynamic life? Name it and release it forever.

I’m super curious about what it is for you, will you dare to leave a comment?
